about

this album is called technical limitations for one reason, because i use what i have and work with it. from the beginning of this project, i never wanted to use drum samples i could easily download or use from a pad, nor use a midi and use digital plugins in a daw. i wanted to be constricted to using the given drum settings and synth tones from my casio keyboards that ive collected over the past couple years. i like working with what i have with my analogue recording. instead of just recording direct into the computer, ill just record on tape and transfer it to ableton.

i have been working on this album on and off for over a year, most songs i just couldnt be happy with regarding their final recordings. so i kept taking breaks from recording and mixing so i could focus on practicing for live sets. i grew sick of a bunch of songs that i was working on, so i just went back to what i do best, jam out and improvise songs. i did this a bunch, which led to releasing two improvisation albums, really pushing my boundaries with my casio keyboards and my looper pedal. a good handful of songs on this album are improvised: stop h8in, i dont know (rip), when im not sick, and the outro. it really helped recording stuff just from my brain and heart on the spot into the tape recorder, and some of them ended up being some of the deepest tracks on the album.

i hope you all enjoy this album, even though it might be all over the place, that is only because the time span that this was recorded in and the styles that i played around with in that time.
